Outlook: The Lady Purples tip off their season with two games in Week 1 as they travel to Owensboro Catholic on Friday to face Madisonville-North Hopkins in the Independence Bank Tip-Off Classic. Coach Calvin Head’s team returns home for a Saturday morning game with preseason #3 Franklin-Simpson in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge.

Outlook: Barren County hosted Warren Central on Tuesday and picked up a 53-19 victory over the Lady Dragons. The Trojanettes welcome Elizabethtown on Friday before traveling to Bowling Green High for a 7:00pm tip with #7 Logan County in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge.

  1. Franklin-Simpson 1-0

Outlook: Franklin-Simpson opened the 2022-23 campaign with a 56-32 road win at Hart County. The Lady Wildcats host Clinton County on Friday before facing off with region favorite Bowling Green at 11:00 AM on Saturday as part of the State Farm 4th Region Challenge.

  1. Metcalfe County 1-0

Outlook: Metcalfe County opened the season in the win column, defeating Warren East 61-52. The Lady Hornets close out Week 1 with a home date with #8 Allen County-Scottsville on Friday evening.

  1. Monroe County 0-0

Outlook: The Lady Falcons tip off their season on Saturday afternoon when they will face Russellville at 3:00 PM at Bowling Green High in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge.

  1. Greenwood 1-0

Outlook: Greenwood flew by McLean County, 81-30, in its season opener and now sets its sights on Glasgow. The Lady Gators take on Glasgow at 1:00 PM as part of the State Farm 4th Region Challenge at Bowling Green High School.

  1. Logan County 0-1

Outlook: Logan County dropped its season opener in overtime to Glasgow, 46-44. The Lady Cougars will face off with Warren East on Friday as part of the Kentucky Class 2A Championships, before traveling to Bowling Green High to take on #2 Barren County in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge.

  1. Allen County-Scottsville 1-0

Outlook: Allen County-Scottsville knocked off #9 Clinton County in the season opener. Coach Greg Dunn’s club closes the week with a road game at Metcalfe County on Friday night.

  1. Clinton County 0-1

Outlook: Clinton County dropped its season opener at Allen County-Scottsville on Tuesday evening. The Lady Bulldogs now travel to Franklin-Simpson on Friday night before closing the week with a neutral game against Todd County Central in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge. The game will tip off at 5:00 PM at Bowling Green High.

  1.  South Warren 0-1

Outlook: South Warren lost 46-42 at Daviess County on Tuesday evening. The Lady Spartans close out Week 1 with a home game against Apollo on Friday night.
