    Outlook: The Lady Purples went 1-1 in Week 2, cruising by Logan County before dropping a 59-55 decision at McCracken County. Meadow Tisdale was near perfect from the field in the victory over the Lady Cougars, going 1-for-11 with 20 points and grabbing ten rebounds.

    Week 3 Games: Christian County (Tuesday), at Greenwood (Friday)

  1. Barren County        5-0                2   

    Outlook: Barren County started 5-0 for a second-consecutive season, picking up a district win over Warren East in the process. Abby Varney led the way with 14 points, while Katie Murphy grabbed seven rebounds in the victory.

    Week 3 Games: at Caverna (Tuesday), at Allen County-Scottsville (Friday)

  1. Greenwood            5-0                6

Outlook: Greenwood propelled to #3 in our area rankings after clipping both Webster County (57-56) and Calloway County (61-60) in consecutive days. Kayla Grant has had a hot start to her senior season, averaging nearly 20 points and 12 rebounds per game. A big test with #1 Bowling Green awaits on Friday.

    Week 3 Game: Bowling Green (Friday)

  1. Franklin-Simpson        3-2                3

    Outlook: Franklin-Simpson lost a double-overtime thriller to South Warren before rebounding to knock off Allen County-Scottsville, 62-45. Three players scored in double figures in the victory, led by Katelyn McAlister’s 15 points. 

    Week 3 Game: at Warren Central (Tuesday)

  1. Metcalfe County        3-1                4   

    Outlook: Metcalfe County dropped its first game of the season, a 57-47 loss at Clinton County. The Lady Hornets are now 1-1 in district play and face two more district foes in Week 3. Kassady London has led the way for Metcalfe averaging 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.

    Week 3 Games: at Russell County (Tuesday), Monroe County (Friday)

  1. Monroe County        3-1                5

    Outlook: Monroe County sits at 3-1 through the season’s first two weeks. Paisley Ford is the team’s leading scorer at 14.8 points per game, while Gracie Veach is averaging 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest. A three-game week awaits the Lady Falcons, including a date with #5 Metcalfe County on Friday.

    Week 3 Games: at South Warren (Tuesday), at Metcalfe County (Friday), at Red Boiling Springs (TN) (Saturday)

  1. Glasgow            3-1                NR

    Outlook: Glasgow breaks into the weekly top ten after picking up wins over Logan County, Todd County Central, and nearly defeating Greenwood in the State Farm 4th Region Challenge. Mia Cassady leads the Lady Scotties in scoring at 13.0 points per game, as Khloe Hale is averaging 9.2 rebounds per game. Kaidence Byrd is also shooting 40% from downtown with six made threes.

    Week 3 Games: at Adair County (Thursday), Warren East (Friday)

  1. Allen County-Scottsville        2-2            8

    Outlook: Allen County-Scottsville holds steady at 2-2 after picking up a win over South Warren before losing to Franklin-Simpson. Jaylee Covington is averaging a double-double for the Lady Patriots with 12.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game.

    Week 3 Game: Barren County (Friday)

  1. Todd County Central        6-2            NR

    Outlook: Todd County Central features in our rankings after a 5-0 start, including wins over McLean County and Clinton County. Nick Sutle’s team is led by Alexis Taylor’s 17.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.

    Week 3 Games: at Warren East (Tuesday), at Edmonson County (Friday)

  1.  Logan County            3-3                7   

    Outlook: Logan County started the season 1-3 but a tough slate that included Glasgow, Barren County, and Bowling Green has paved the way for a two-game win streak heading into Week 3. Gracie Borders continues to lead the team in scoring and rebounding at 15.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
