    Outlook: Warren Central – ranked #1 statewide in various polls – moved to 4-0 with a win over Louisville Western in the Kentucky Straight Apparel Classic. Chappelle Whitney led the way with 26 points, including 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.

    Week 3 Games: Franklin-Simpson (Tuesday), DeSales (at Fairdale on Friday)

  1. Bowling Green        5-0                2   

    Outlook: In Week 2, the Purples picked up two, one-point victories over Elizabethtown (59-58) and North Laurel (70-69). In the victory over North Laurel, MJ Wardlow led the way with 22 points (10-for-11 from the line), while Mason Ritter scored 16 points and grabbed 19 rebounds.

    Week 3 Games: Christian County (Tuesday), at Greenwood (Friday)

  1. Warren East            3-1                3

Outlook: Warren East remained at #3 despite dropping a 72-63 decision in its opening district game of the season against Barren County. The club rebounded to defeat Daviess County in the Sparty Classic and were led by Isaiah Andrews’ 35-point, 12-rebound output.

Week 3 Games: Todd County Central (Tuesday), at Glasgow (Friday)

  1.  South Warren        5-1                6

Outlook: South Warren continues its hot start to the season, winning all three of its games in Week 2. Brandon Rowe leads the Spartans in both scoring and rebounding at 18.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

    Week 3 Games: Monroe County (Tuesday), at Hancock County (Saturday)

  1. Franklin-Simpson        3-1                4

Outlook: Franklin-Simpson split its Week 2 games, losing at South Warren before defeating Allen County-Scottsville. In the Wildcats’ 76-49 win over the Patriots, DeMarcus Hogan scored 25 points. The senior is averaging 18.8 points per game on 48% shooting through two weeks.

Week 3 Game: at Warren Central (Tuesday)

  1. Metcalfe County        3-2                5

Outlook: In Week 2, Metcalfe County picked up two district wins over Cumberland County and Clinton County. With two more district games scheduled for Week 3, the Hornets have the opportunity to make a major statement in the 16th. Jax Allen (20.6) and Wyatt  Blythe (18.8) continue to lead the way for Metcalfe in scoring; however, Logan Phelps has become a reliable third option averaging 12.4 points per contest.

Week 3 Games: at Russell County (Tuesday), Monroe County (Friday)

  1. Barren County        3-2                NR

    Outlook: Barren County enters the rankings for the first time in 2022 after winning three games in Week 2 to improve to 3-2.  The Trojans defeated Warren East in their first district game of the season before knocking off North Hardin in the Don Franklin Barren Hoops Classic. Eli Brooks has been on a tear, averaging 21.8 points per game and grabbing 7.6 rebounds.

    Week 3 Games: at Caverna (Tuesday), at Allen County-Scottsville (Friday)

  1. Todd County Central    4-3                8

    Outlook: Todd County Central dropped three of its first four games but have rebounded to win its last three. The Rebels have challenged themselves in the early part of the season and will continue with a tough, three-game slate in Week 3. Jamison Glass leads the way at 17.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, while Trayvon Foster is scoring 12.2 a contest.

Week 3 Games: at Warren East (Tuesday), at Edmonson County (Friday), Trigg County (Saturday)

  1. Monroe County        4-2                9

    Outlook: Monroe County remains in the top ten after going 2-1 in Week 2 with district wins over Cumberland County and Clinton County. John Harlin leads the team in scoring at 13.3 points per game.

Week 3 Games: at South Warren (Tuesday), at Metcalfe County (Friday), at Red Boiling Springs (TN) (Saturday)

  1.  Clinton County        1-3                10   

    Outlook: Clinton County remains in the top ten after losing three games by a combined eight points to three teams ranked in our poll. The Bulldogs will look to rebound in Week 3 with two district games. Cannon Young has led Clinton in scoring at 12.8 points per game.

Week 3 Games: at Cumberland County (Tuesday), Russell County (Friday)
