Sporting Times Fans and Purples Nation, We are deeply disappointed that Covington Catholic has denied us continuing coverage and access to provide live streaming video of the Semi-Finals match-up of the Bowling Green Purples versus Covington Catholic tomorrow night.
Please know that we made every effort to be there to live stream and video broadcast the game. We tried to petition the decision, to make clear our longstanding commitment to Bowling Green and local sports, but to no avail the decision was final.
Thank you Bowling Green Athletics for advocating on our behalf. Per KHSAA, Covington Catholic has the right to choose who broadcasts their games.
We recognize that by offering free live streaming to our Bowling Green fans and community it would disrupt Covington Catholic’s ability to profit from pay-per-view streaming.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter and we look forward to providing the next Purples live stream video broadcast.
