Toyota of Bowling Green Scholar Athlete of the Month

is this month’s Toyota of Bowling Green Scholar Athlete of the Month! Congrats Sarah!

Sarah Pemberton is a senior at South Warren High School and a recent 2015 Governor’s Scholar where she participated at Morehead University. She currently maintains a 4.0 GPA and is an ac
tive member of Beta Club, the National Honor Society, Pep Club, FCA, and her local youth group at Rich Pond Baptist Church, and she is also a regular volunteer of M.E.A.L.S.

Sarah is a four-year varsity starter, and her first year playing varsity attained her the MaxPreps 2012 Volleyball Freshman All-American, and in 2013 and 2014 had her name included on the prestigio
us AVCA Phenom List for top high school volleyball athletes throughout the nation.

Throughout her volleyball career, she has received several awards such as 2012, 2013 and 2014 KHSAA 14th District All-Tournament Team; 2013 4th Region All-Tournament Team, and 2014 KHSAA 4th Region Most Valuable Player. Currently amassing 1,607 digs to date, 187 aces and a 94.5% servin
g percentage, Sarah helped rally her team to their first appearance of the 2014 KHSAA State Volleyball Tournament and also led them on to the final Elite 8.

Sarah’s work ethic continues in the classroom garnishing several academic awards as well, such as the 2014-2015 American History Award in her A.P. US History class, Chemistry Student of the Year, Pre-AP English Student of the Year and more. Following graduation in May, Sarah plans to attend Western Kentucky University and pursue a degree in the medical field.
