Head Coach:  William Spalding

Returning Starters: Jharron Satterfield, Kenia Recenos, Angie Reyes, Emma Thomas, Azra Esmic, Cateryn Pena, Stacy Zatate, and Brandy Cardenas.

2012 Recap:  The Lady Dragons failed to make the regional tournament in 2012, losing to Greenwood in the district semifinal. 2012 was the inaugural season for William Spalding who had been an assistant coach prior to last season. Spalding led the Dragons to their first .500 record in 2010.

What to expect in 2013: Warren Central Lady Dragons bring back nine starters from the 2012 season, led by Azra Esmic and Jharron Satterfield. “Azra and Jharron are our leaders,” said Spalding. “They have different styles of leadership; Jharron is more vocal while Azra tends to lead more by example.” Experience is a key on defense with Esmic and Cardenas, but goalkeeping was a question going into 2013. The Dragons have two goalkeepers with neither of them being experienced at the position. With that being said, what a difference a year makes as the Lady Dragons have jumped out to a (4-0) start in August only allowing two goals this season. The last time the Lady Dragons started the season (4-0) was in 2008.

Words from the coach:  “Our strength this year is our ability to play as a team and our depth,” said Spalding. “We have a solid group of reserves this year that can come in a play a variety of position
