Owen Stamper of Allen County-Scottsville

Dialed In: AC-S Senior Owen Stamper shares his thoughts on The Current State of Spring Season Sports

“Dialed In,” is the Sporting Times prep-sports interim video podcast series featured on https://stfanclub.comdialed-in/. We will be on the phones connecting with students, coaches and area sports authorities to hear just how they’ve been impacted and what the future might hold. Check back daily! More to come!

Dialed in with the Sporting Times on stfanclub.com is Owen Stamper.

Stamper is a talented three-sport athlete playing Golf, Basketball, and Baseball in his Senior year as a Patriot at Allen County-Scottsville high school.

Owen offers unique perspective on the current state of things. Particularly, high school spring sports being delayed and quite possibly cancelled for rest of the season. For Stamper, and like most senior athletes entering the spring season, coping with the uncertainty of whether or not a final run will even happen is unlike any situation most of us have ever experienced. He holds out optimism for the baseball season.

Owen will get another run at Golf regardless of how his senior year plays out. Owen has signed to play golf for Middle Tennessee State University.

The Patriots Baseball team will be led this year by three seniors—Owen Stamper, Zane Ward, and Tanner McPeak.

AC-S was able to experience a little of the season with a scrimmage against Westmoreland in early March. Hopefully, things will turn around and we get to see our community seniors back on the diamond.
