South Warren rolled to a 15-0 run-rule win over Frederick Douglass HS (Lexington, KY), but
the defining story came in the circle, where Layla Ogden was untouchable. In an abbreviated
format, Ogden authored a perfect game, facing the minimum nine batters with no hits, no
walks, and no baserunners—a true no-hit shutout. The flawless outing secures her 13th win of
the season and stands as one of the most dominant performances of the year.

The Spartans’ offense ensured that perfection held from start to finish. Maclain Hudson set the
tone with three runs scored, while Caley Kuzma delivered two hits and three RBIs. Kaylee
Wilson matched that total with three RBIs of her own, and Laya Ogden added two RBIs to cap
off her all-around performance. Parker Willoughby and Jordan Sheehan combined to score
five runs as South Warren’s lineup applied constant pressure.
With win number 28, South Warren continues to pair elite pitching with a relentless offense—an
increasingly dangerous combination as the season moves forward.
