The South Warren Lady Spartans Softball team (12-2) tonight defeated the nationally ranked Pace High School, final score 2-0 in Milton, Florida. Pace HS is the defending Softball Class 6A State Champions of 2024.
The 2025 Pace Patriots are ranked #13 in the nation, but with a loss tonight fell to 14-2. The Spartans Courtney Norwood got the win in the circle and tossed a shutout going the full seven innings stunning the Pace hitters.

Junior shortstop, leadoff hitter Maclain Hudson hit two solo-home runs, one in the third & again, in the fifth off Pace nationally acclaimed pitcher Hanna DeMarcus. Hanna Demarcus, entered the game with a 13-0 record, (8) shutouts & (4) no hitters. DeMarcus is ranked as the #4 high school pitcher in the nation but is tagged tonight with her first loss at the hands of the South Warren Spartans.
